Suff. Co. Tax Map #1000-7Q-7-1 Dear Mr. Senko: During a review of our files it was noted that the above building permits have expired and Certificates of Occupancy have never been issued. According to the Code of the Town of Southold, Article XXVIII 100-281 and 100-284 a building permit is needed for any construction of addition's, accessory structures or new dwellings and it is unlawful to occupy or use said structure until a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued. Building Permit #182792 was issued on July 7, 1989 to repair damage to the wall caused by an automobile accident. No CO has been issued. Building Permit #18384-Z was issued on August 15, 1989 to construct retail sales and office building as approved by the Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals #3552. If you do not begin construction within a 12 month period starting from date of issuance of the permit, it becomes void. Please contact this office as soon as possible at 765-1802.
