Tax Map #1000-05200-003000. The permit covers a renovation on the aforememtioned property and includes a heating system and installation of insulation. The renovation will upgrade the dwelling to a year round occupancy. The Building Dept. has conducted scheduled inspections at the owners request and to this date there are a few things that need to be done before a C.O. can be issued. Firstly, there needs to be installed in the roof system adaquate ventilation. It is a cathedral ceiling and with such construction proper ventilation must be provided to protect the roof system from a build up of moisture. An Underwriters Certificate is also required to cover all electrical work that was done. When these items are completed and re-inspected we will be glad to issue a Certificate of Occupancy for B.P.#180722. The new "Part 6" is a Thermal Rating Method for one- and two-family residential buildings. Part 6 is quick and easy to use. The Thermal Rating Method utilizes a series of Tables. Eor each building envelope element (wall, roof, slab edge, etc.) a Table provides a range of thermal performance values (U-values or R-values) along with ranges of building areas or lengths. for each envelope element, the U or R value of the proposed design is matched with the actual area or length of the envelope element to achieve a "thermal rating."
