BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR WASTE OIL REMOVAL
FROM TOWN OF SOUTHOLD TRANSFER STATION
In accordance with the provisions of Section 103 of the General Municipal Law,that sealed bids
are sought and requested for the removal of WASTE MOTOR OIL from the Southold Town Transfer
Station,6155 Cox Lane, Cutchogue,New York.The Town seeks bids from a fully licensed and
insured vendor for one(1)year of waste oil removal for calendar year 2024,which can be extended
for one(1)additional year,through December 31,2025, by mutual agreement in writing by the
Town and the bidder.
Bids are sought for the following services:
Bidder will supply a waste oil tanker vehicle and labor necessary to remove waste oil collected at the
Town's waste oil drop off facility located at the Town's Municipal Solid Waste Transfer Station at 6155
Cox Lane, Cutchogue,NY 11935 as needed by the Town. The Town's waste oil facility consists of a
Suffolk County Department of Health Services(SCDHS)approved 500-gallon tank which accepts waste
oil from residential(non-commercial)generators. Removal of oil must be accomplished by pumping the
oil through a 4"diameter pour hole through which residents deposit their used-oil. In addition,bidder
agrees to the following:
• To abide by New York State's used oil regulations as specified in Subpart 6 NYCRR 374-2:
Standards for the Management of Used Oil with regard to standards for transporters (along with
permitting requirements of Part 364); and transfer facilities, processors and re-refiners, and for
facilities that burn used oil for energy recovery.
• To respond "as needed by the Town" as mentioned above means agreeing to come to the facility
to remove oil within 24 hrs of being notified by the Town, including Saturdays and Sundays.
Failure to remove oil within the 24-hr time frame may result in cancellation of this contract by the
Town.
• To respond to remove oil regardless of the amount to be removed (i.e.,the Town cannot
guarantee a minimum quantity for any given removal).
• To leave with the Town facility receipts for any waste oil removed at the time the removal takes
place.
The Town's waste oil facility accepts approximately 10,000 gallons of oil annually. The Town
anticipates making approximately 40 calls for service in 2024,and will evaluate cost proposals by
applying bid prices to these estimated quantities.
The Town intends to specify these and other standard terms in contract form after a bid is awarded to be
signed by both parties.
The sealed bids,together with a Non-collusive Bid Certificate, and bank draft or certified check
in the amount of$100.00,will be received by the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold, at the Southold

In accordance with the provisions of Section 103 of the General Municipal Law,that sealed bids
are sought and requested for the removal of WASTE MOTOR OIL from the Southold Town Transfer
Station, 6155 Cox Lane, Cutchogue,New York. The Town seeks bids from a fully licensed and
insured vendor for one(1)year of waste oil removal for calendar year 2024,which can be extended
for one (1) additional year,through December 31,2025, by mutual agreement in writing by the
Town and the bidder.
Bids are sought for the following services:
Bidder will supply a waste oil tanker vehicle and labor necessary to remove waste oil collected at the
Town's waste oil drop off facility located at the Town's Municipal Solid Waste Transfer Station at 6155
Cox Lane, Cutchogue,NY 11935 as needed by the Town. The Town's waste oil facility consists of a
Suffolk County Department of Health Services(SCDHS) approved 500-gallon tank which accepts waste
oil from residential(non-commercial) generators. Removal of oil must be accomplished by pumping the
oil through a 4" diameter pour hole through which residents deposit their used oil. In addition, bidder
agrees to the following:
• To abide by New York State's used oil regulations as specified in Subpart 6 NYCRR 374-2:
Standards for the Management of Used Oil with regard to standards for transporters (along with
permitting requirements of Part 364); and transfer facilities, processors and re-refiners, and for
facilities that burn used oil for energy recovery.
