APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY INSTRUCTIONS
This application must be filed in typewriter OR ink and submitted Co the Building
Inspector with [he following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines,
streets, and unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final approval of 1}calth Dept. of water supply and sewerage-disposal(S-9 form).
3. Approval of clectr~ycal installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Swota statement from plumber certifying that solder used in system contains less"
than 2/10 of II lca~d.
5. Commercial buildings, industrial buildings, multiple residences and similar,
buildings and instillations, a certificate of code compliance from the Architect
or Engineer respoos~iblc for the building.
6. Submit Planning Board Approval of completed site plao zequirements.
For existing buildings (Prior to April 9, 1957] non-conforming uses, or buildings
and "pre-existing" lagd uses:
I. Accurate survey of'propcrty showing all property lines, streets, buildings and
unusual natural or ',,topographic features.
2. A properly completed application, a consent to inspect signed by [he applicant
and a certified abstract of title issued by a title company which shall
show single and separate ownership of the entire lot prior to April 9, 1957.
If a Certificate of Occupancy is denied, the Building Inspector shall state the
reasons therefor in writing to the applicant.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or ocher
pertinent information required to prepare a certificate.
For Vacant Land Certificate of Occupancy:
1. An application forlvacant land Certificate of Occupancy shall be submitted,
and a certified abs',tract of title issued by a title company showing single and
separate ownershipof~the entire lot prior to April 9, 1957 shall also accompany
Che application. If a Certificate of Occupancy is denied, the Building Inspector
shall state Che reasons therefor in writing to Che applicant.

INSTRUCTIONS
a. Tltis application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector, with ~
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to ad}oining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this appli-
cation.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of tltis application, the Building Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant to the
Buiiding Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and other applicable Laws, Ordinances or
Re;ulations, for the construction of buildings, additions or alterations, or for removal or demolition, as herein described.

White Knight Stables will provide the necessary plans, (covering the
work spelled out in this contract) for customer to obtain building
permit. An alteration or deviation from above specifications involving
extra cost, will be executed only upon written orders, and will become an
extra charge over and above the estimate. All agreements contingent upon
strikes, accidents or delays beyond our control. Owner to carry fire,
tornado and other necessary insurance upon above work. Workmen's
Compensation, Public Liability and Builders Insurance on above work to be
taken out by White Knight Stables.
*Owner to supply temporary 110 Volt 30 AMP electrical service to jobsite
within 100' or a charge of 1% of contract price.
*Owner to provide a temporary stone driveway to jobsite.
*Building site to be graded within 1' by owner 10' beyond edge of
building.
ITEMS NOT INCLUDED IN CONTRACT
Excessive rock removal when drilling post holes and digging footers.
Site excavation or landscaping, unless otherwise stated.
Plumbing, Electrical, and Heating system, unless otherwise stated.
Trenching for water or electric line.
Finished floor covering, interior and exterior painting.
Final grading and or stone base under concrete floor.
