Upon receipt of an application for a Pre-existing Certificate of Occupancy, I made an inspection of the two story framed dwelling on this property and found the following violations of the Housing Code, Chapter 52 , Town of Southold, New York. I was admitted to building by Mrs. Fogarty who accompanied me during my inspection which began at approximately 10 :15 A.M. The first floor consists of a kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom and a rear addition with open foundation consisting of a pantry and rear entrance porch. Kitchen: gas cooking range-no shut off valve. Art. V, Sec. 52-52 B-2 . Living room: front entrance-no means of controlling light in room on entry. Art V, Sec 52-56 B-2. The second floor consists of four bedrooms and a full bath- room off hallway. Bedroom: north west-ceiling fixture, light socket hanging by wire of conductor. Art V, Sec. 52-56 A. 1-2. Heat is supplied to first and second floor rooms from an oil fired how, water furnace located in full cellar. Cellar: opening in chimney to flue previously used to dis- charge products of combustion from hot water heater. Art V. , Sec. 52-54 A.1. Exterior of building: Steps to open front porch and steps to rear entrance to building are of wood construction. Steps and risers-loose, uneven and are deteriorating. Art. III, Sec. 52-30 A.
