From the existing wall on thesotith side of the building will be constructed a new room, running 11 i.eet in a southerly direction, and thence running 22 feet in a westerly direction so as to meet an existiny easterl}~ wall of the existing building. This "extra room" will have two entrances; (1) the existing window on the north wall will become a doorway, and (2) the existing window on the west wall will become a doorway. In addition, ingress and egress will be from a 12 foot sliding glass door on the southerly wall. ROOF The roof will be a continuation from the existing roof (on the north and run at a slight pitch southerly for the 11 feet •of the extension. The roof will be shingeled with black shingles closely approximating the shingles on the existing structure. EXTERIOR The exterior will be boarded with outdoor plywood and then covered with white vinyl'almuminum siding, the same as the existing structure. Joists will be 2 x 8, 16 inches apart and the walls will have studs, 2 x 6, insulated with insulatiod 6 inches thick, with an R factor of R19. CEILING The ceiling 2 x 6's, 16 inches apart, will be insulated with insulation 6 inches thick, with an R factor of R19. ELECTRICAL Outlets will be placed at least every 8 feet, double outlets, except of course, where the 12 foot sliding glass door prevents placement; there will be two light switches, one light outside and one overhead. HEATING The present oil-hot water system existing in the building will be continued into the extension by piping and baseboard. It will be on a separate zone. wlNDOws The extension, filling in the "gap", means that two walls presently exist. Accordingly, only two walls are being constructed. As previously stated, the southern wall will have a 12 foot sliding glass door, centered. There will be a proper steel. header over the sliding door. The east wall will have no windows. FLOOR SEAMS The floor beams will be 2 x 8's, 16 inches apart, plywood of 1/2 inch thickness will be used as a sttbflooring, and will be insulated with fiberglass insulation 6 inches thick with an R facptor of R19. Entrance into the crawl space will be front inside the building through the existing outside cellar door, which is presently on the east wall (of the existing building and the west wall of this extension).
