I have started the design process for the building of a single family house and have applied to the Suffolk County Department of Health (DOH)for Water Service and Septic System approval. The DOH has requested I submit evidence of permits or Letters of Non-Jurisdiction from NYSDEC and the Town of Southold in connection with tidal or fresh water wetlands,given the location of the site. My observation is that the site, and specifically the proposed structure, are beyond the 100-ft mark from the tidal wetlands,consequently I respectfully request you review and issue the aforementioned Letter of Non-Jurisdiction;should you need to visit the site for this determination,you have my express permission to enter the grounds. Please note I have already filed with the NYSDEC for their determination based on their requirements. I am enclosing a copy of the site survey and proposed architectural site plan, a check for$50.00 and a corporate resolution evidencing my status as the Managing Member of Mazi Holdings LLC.
