Michael Collins, Town Engineer. Public attending: Eric McClure 1. Minutes 2. Rational speed limits: Dan's list of town street speed limits should be complete and mapped. Should there be many different changes to be noticed and have hearings on or should the entire town except#25 and #48 have 30 MPH? 3. Soundview Motel: Waiting on response from SCDPW on the lights proposed for the crosswalks. 4. Charging Stations.After the meeting we saw that the electric charger behind Town Hall was unused and only marked for one car even though it can charge two vehicles. If little used, one spot might be enough. Mary Bess said the code needs to be updated to specify how long a car can be parked at a charger and will bring what she knows about Greenport's stations to the Feb meeting. Next steps were for Sarah to follow up with Denis about grants and talk to Michael Collins and Tim at DPW. 5. Trash issue– Follow up on last week's ideas for Public Service Announcements, Public Cleanups, Adopt-a-road program, Suffolk Times public service announcement for awareness, or? Maybe social media can inspire volunteers like the one on Next Door. [Randy talked to Denis after mtg. about running 1/2 page public service notice. Denis working with Sarah on it.] 6. Transportation Funding Needs—Margaret and Randy to meet after this meeting. 7. Parking signs for Peconic Bay Blvd in front of Vets Memorial.Also, signs for Breakwater Parking. - Chris S. 8. Bike racks. Sarah 9. Question about the County traffic task force and Sarah will reach out to Jonathon Keyes. Dan saw traffic count machines at the same spots a couple of weeks ago—so we might get off-peak data. 10. Community Housing Plan 11. New business 12. Next Meeting will be Monday, March 20 at 10:30 AM.
