Michael Collins, Town Engineer. 1. Minutes of October 2. Bike North Fork's A. Bike Racks - Any Consortium opportunity as M.B. suggested? Info from Dennis? Any money in the budget for this essential travel mode? The group wants written confirmation that the Town will receive and install any donated racks. B. Education - Asking Bike North Fork to spearhead this but another idea was to add $ for PD and TC to do education in schools. C. Bike Lanes: We need State DOT to explains their ideas about recommended signage. Sarah? D. Share the road Signs at entries to Southold: They wanted size, cost and placement ideas...Town Board wants more specifics on that. Dan? 3. High Priority Intersections— Consultant design to implement simple marking/sign/fliexible delineator plan for Love Lane. J.G. suggested prohibiting the SB left-turn from Ackerly Pond to significantly reduce problems. Next steps? 4. North Fork Traffic Taskforce Sarah will follow up. 5. Rational speed limits - Sarah sent a letter to her State DOT contacts and she has still not heard back. Dan not there so not sure where we are on speed limit inventory. 6. Ole Jule Lane - Request to reduce 35mph to 25mph - above needs decision first 7. Town Budget-Needs $50K for an engineering study of Love Lane/#25, $$7K bike racks, $? speed signage, $250K sidewalks prioritizing ADA—is that enough? $20K for education for PD/TC. Currently PD, Recreation Program and PD Comm Relations does two events a year for bike and road safety in Greenport & Mattituck Bancorp Bldg. 8. Soundview #48 update Lighting of crosswalks at Soundview status 9. Policy on street naming - Margaret will send proposal in advance of mtg. 10. Locating Affordable Housing RE: Transportation/Parking Policies: Status of Zoning Consultant to address. 11. Sidewalks &Off-Road Shared Paths - Vineyard View? 12. Charging stations - How would we explore charging stations? What is NYPA, PG&E, NYS doing. FHWA energy audit for State. NYSDOT Planning 13. New Business - 14. Next meetings at 11 AM: December 12th
