Issue of parking near Little Fish (near Kenny's Rd) - adjourned at the request of the neighbors who could not make it this morning to present their issue. It will be on the next meeting. Monroe Sonnenbern said Friday& Saturday nights are the main problem. Pat Poppe said the houses that would be affected by Beach Permit parking-only are supportive. 3. Speed limits hearing -Town Board is working on this, Randy to get Sarah the NYS DOT request form. 4. Transportation Funding needs: A. Bike racks- we need more; need a list of Town owned locations. B. Sidewalks - increase the funding for them in the 2024 budget C. Raising roads for sea level rise(CR 48&SR 25) DOT&SCDPW- Find out who at those levels is dealing with this and if they are needing any local input. Invite them to come speak to us if we can find out who is thinking about this at those levels. Maybe check with Legislator Krupski's office to see if he has a recommendation. D. Seaview Trails Brochure. Instead of a brochure. Heather will follow up with Sep and see if we can get this in GIS so it can be found in Google Maps, and then have a OR code posted on the website under Trails area and posted at Town Clerk's. 5. Power assist bikes. State is dealing with this. 6. County traffic task force. (see agenda for the topics). Can Town do a letter to see if County task force will keep meeting with us? Randy will draft something for Sarah to review and figure out next step 7. DOT letters E. Love Lane stop sign. DOT didn't go to the correct location and responded to Sarah there is already a stop sign there. Sarah has corrected them and asked them to come out and meet us at the site. F. Sharrows. DOT said that they would look at marking Old Sound Ave. And will look into extending the sharrows and we need to ask them to add one to East Marion. 8. Sharrows ad in paper(education). Maybe in Northforker next issue. 9. Walkway request to SCDPW for walkway from San Simeon to Moore's Lane. To follow up in a few months. 10.Fishing enforcement Letter to DEC sent? Sarah will check in on this. 11.New Business G. Shelter Island ferry- Recent back-ups to 9th Street. Mary Bess will update TC on Village project in Sept. H. Nassau Pt. letter requesting a 25 mph speed limit- not necessary because the street setup makes it difficult to go faster. I. Think about establishing criteria for what would make 25mph work(lane width, population, no sidewalk, beach at end of road). J. Breakwater public hearing is either Aug 29 or Sept Board mtg 12.Next Meeting: Monday, September 18, at 10:30AM
