Jeffrey Patanjo on behalf of CHARLES & SHERRY SOLON requests a Wetland Permit to construct a 4'x54'
fixed catwalk with steps down to a 4' wide by 16' long fixed dock situated in a"T" configuration with the use of
Thru-Flow decking for the entire structure. Located: 4553 Wickham Avenue, Mattituck. SCTM# 1000-107-4-

The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of
Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based
upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as
well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the as-builts are INCONSISTENT with
LWRP Policy 6.3 and, therefore, INCONSISTENT with the LWRP.
6.3 Protect and restore tidal and freshwater wetlands.
A. Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements of the Southold Town Board of Trustees laws and
regulations for all Andros Patent and other lands under their jurisdiction
1. Comply with Trustee regulations and recommendations asset forth in Trustee permit conditions.
The proposed dock does not meet Chapter 275. Wetlands and Shoreline Article/l. Permits
§275-11. Construction and operation standards. A. General. The following standards are required for all
operations within the jurisdiction of the Trustees:
The new dock is not possible in Long Creek pursuant to:
Prohibited locations and activities. fa)No new docks will be permitted over vegetated
wetlands or such that it causes habitat fragmentation of ve etated wetlands in the
following areas:Downs Creek, Hallocks Bay, Hashamomuck Creek and Pond, Long Creek
(branch of Mattituck Creek East of Grand Avenue bridge) Pipe's Cove Creek and West
Creek.

(7) Critical environmental areas. At the discretion of the Board of Trustees, any operations
proposed in critical environmental areas (§275-2) may be subject to more stringent requirements
than detailed in this section. Such requirements may include, but are not limited to, denial of
certain operations, shortening or reducing the size of structures, and increasing the width of
nondisturbance buffer.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written
determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.
