address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to

586. Engage the professional services of Nelson, Pope & Voorhis to perform the SEQRA review
for proposed amendments to AHD District.
587. Engage the professional services of Nelson, Pope & Voorhis to perform the SEQRA review
for petition for zone change of Amerada Hess Corp.
588. Engage the professional services of Nelson, Pope & Voorhis to perform the SEQRA review
for the petition for zone change ofDarrin Skrezec.
589. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with individuals for 2001
fall recreation programs.
590. Gram permission to the Knights of Columbus, Marion Council 3852, to march on local
roads on October 20, 2001.
591 Grant permission to Mattituck High School to use town roads for their Annual
Homecoming Parade September 22, 2001.
592. Appoint Michael Wall to the position of part-time guard/gatekeeper at the Solid Waste
Management District.
593. Create the position of Court Officer and establish the salary scale.
594. Terminate Stacey Norklun from her contingent provisional position as Clerk Typist and
appoint her as full-time Data Entry Operator in the Building Department.

Authorize submission of a proposal for a cooperative effort to acquire development rights
submitted to the Land Preservation Committee for the Fiscal Year 2001-2002 to the NYS
Department of Agriculture and Markets.

Request the NYS Department of Transportation to conduct a traffic survey on Deep Hole
Drive, Donna Drive, Theresa Drive, and Richard Street in Mattituck for the purpose of
lowering the speed limit.

Request the NYS Department of Transportation to conduct a traffic survey at the
intersection of Cox Neck Road and County Road 48 in Mattituck for the purpose of
installing a traffic light.

Inspector in the Building Department.
599. Release Erin Clacherty from her position as Seasonal Traffic Control Officer and appoint her
to the position of Detention Attendant at the Southold Town Police Department.
600. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with General Code
Publishers for the Building Permits Backfile conversion project into the Laserfiche Program.
601 Appoint Thomas A. Cervilli as a Part-time School Crossing Guard for the Police Dept.
602. Appoint Joanne L. Lucas as a Part-time School Crossing Guard for the Police Department.
603. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute a lease agreement with Cassone
Leasing, Inc. for trailer rental.
604. Authorize Chief Cochran and Lt. Flatley to attend the NYS Division of Criminal Justice
Services Executive Development Seminar for 2001 September 28 and 19 in Brentwood.
605. Authorize bond resolution for $2,000,000 for farmland/open space development rights and
acquisition.
606. Accept the resignation ofMaile Aiwohi from her position as a part-time food service
worker, effective August 23,2001.
607. Authorize and direct Town Clerk Neville to advertise for the position of part-time food
service worker.
608. Authorize and direct Supervisor Cochran to execute an agreement with FHV, L.L.C. as
landlord for Feather Hill lease.
609. Authorize modification to the General Fund Part Town 2001 budget to appropriate
inspection fees received from Peconic Landing and NYS Department of State.

hearing on "A Local Law in Relation to Installing No Parking Signs along Maple Avenue

maintenance.
613. Authorize and direct Town Clerk Neville to advertise for bids to remove contaminated soil,
Route 25, Greenport.
614. Indemnify and reimburse the sum of $1,000 to five individuals who received fines from the
DEC as part of their work for the Fishers Island Mosquito Control project.
615. Set 5:00 p.m., October 9, 2001, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public
hearing on proposed changes to § 100, Affordable Housing District, accessory apartments.

Forward the proposed changes to § 100, Affordable Housing District, accessory apartments,

and comments.
