During a review of our files it was noted that the above
building permit has expired, and a Certificate of Occupancy has
never been issued.
According to the Code of the Town of Southold, Article
XXVIII 100-284, it is unlawful to occupy or use a structure
until a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued.
Please contact this office as soon as possible so that we
may clear up this matter.

'a. This application must be completely ~illed in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector, with 3
ets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
,b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
,r areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this appli-
ation.
c. The work covered by this application may not be c~)mmenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
hall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
hall have been granted by the Building Inspector.

Dear Mr. Eckardt:
A deck addition is being constructed in the rear of your
dwelling at the above referenced address.
According to Article XXVIII Chapt. 281 of the Code of the
Town of Southold any construction such as a deck requires a
Building Permit.
In order to avoid possible legal action by the Town of
Southold you must contact the undersigned IMMRBIATELY and
obtain a permit.
