Michael Kimack on behalf of WILLIAM MACGREGOR requests a Wetland Permit to remove existing wood dock, ramp, floating dock and pilings; construct a proposed 4'x70' raised fixed catwalk with Thru-Flow decking throughout and secured with ten (10) rows of 8" diameter pressure treated pilings at 8' on-center set 3' above finished deck; install a 4'x 5' pressure treated wood staircase off of landward end of catwalk; install a 3'x14' aluminum ramp; install a 6'x20' floating dock (decking to be marine grade O/E), situated in an "I" configuration and secured with two (2) 10" diameter pressure treated anchor pilings; abandon approximately 30' of existing pathway and create approximately 4'x30' of new pathway to connect to new dock location. Located: 1120 Broadwaters Road, Cutchogue. SCTM# 1000-104-9-2 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the action is INCONSISTENT with the LWRP Policy 6. The shift in the dock structure from its current footprint will impact vegetated, high- quality intertidal marsh. It is recommended that CCA treated material be minimized in the dock structure.
