A. This application must be filled in by typewriter OR ink and submitted to the building
inspector with the following: for new building or new use:
i. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines,
~ streets, and unusual natural or topographic features.
~ 2. Final Approval from Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage-disposal(S-9 form).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
~ 4. Sworn statement from plumber certifying that the solder used in system contains
less than 2/10 of 1% lead.
5. Commercial building, industrial building, multiple residences and similar buildings
' and installations, a certificate.o~ Code Compliance from architect or'engineer.

6. Submit Planning Board Approval of completed site plan requirements.
For existing buildings (prior to April 9, 1957) non-conforming uses, or buildings and
"pre-existing" land uses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, building and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. A properly completed application end a consent to inspect signed by the applicant.
If a Certificate of Occupandy is denied, the Building Inspector shell state the
reasons therefor in writing to the applicant.

Previously under. Jean Guild.
During a review of our files it was noted that the above
building permit has expired, and a Certificate of Occupancy has
never been issued.
According to the Code of the Town of Southold, Article
XXVIII 100-284, it ~is unlawful to occupy or use a structure
until a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued.
Please contact this office as soon as possible so that we
may clear up this matter.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE YOUR 8' OR 10' SHED
1. Cut 4 "ribbon boards" 2x4-7'11", 9'11", or 11'11"
long.
2. Nail "bottom ribbon board" to one standard
frame using 16D sinkers see illustration page 1.
3. Nail the "bottom ribbon boards" to balance of
standard frames (frames spaced 24" on cen{er)

~l~ Nail "interior wall ribbon boards" at the top of
'~ wall for bracing using 16D sinkers see
illustration page 1.
5, Cut and nail in place %" floor sheathing using
8D sinkers,
6, Cut and nail wafer board soffit in place (using 8D
galvanized nails) Use excess sheathing for roof
sheathing as shown on pages 3, 4, 5 and 6,
7, Cut sidewall sheathing and nail in place using
BD galvanized nails,
8, Cut door and end wall framing and toe nail in
place using 16D sinkers, See diagram page 2,
9. Cut front and rear wall sheathing. Nail in place
using 8D galvanized nails see diagram on
bottom of page 7 for "cutting instructions" of
corner sheathing.
10. Cut 2x4 door sheathing framing. See cutting
instructions on page 3.
11, Cut roof sheathing and nail in place using 8D
sinkers.
12. Apply lx4 trim t~,'corners and rake using 8D
galvanized nails,
13. Apply lx4 trim, over sheathing, around door
frame opening using 8D galvanized nails.
14, Apply lx4 door trim to door sheathing using 8D
galvanized nails,
15, Attach hinges to lx4 trim on doors and door
frame using screws included.
16. Apply shingles using 11/,'' roofing nails.
17. Attach hasp at center of doors using screws
included.
18. Attach barrel bolts to top of lx4 door trim using
screws included.
19. Paint or stain barn as desired.
