During a review of our files it was noted that the above
building permit has expired, and a Certificate of Occupancy has
never been issued.
According to the Code of the Town of Southold, Article
XXVIII 100-281 and 100-284 a building permit is needed for any
construction of additions, accessory structures or new
dwellings, and it is unlawful to occupy or use said structure
until a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued.
Please contact this office as soon as possible so that we
may clear up this matter.

The steps on this page tell how to
assemble the left door. You will per-
form exactly the same procedures
for the right door. Proceed as fol-
lows:
1Place honeycomb panel under
the lip of door.
2Hold the vertical door brace
against the long edge of the honey-
comb inside the door and fasten to
door using 5 bolts and nuts.
3Put a horizontal door brace onto
the top edge and bottom edge,
covering edge of honeycomb, and
fasten with 1 bolt in the center.
4Attach the lower door guides as
shown.
5Push 7 holes through honeycomb
where shown, using an awl or nail.
6Fasten center of door and install
handle using 7/8"bolts, door wash-
ers and acorn nuts.
7Repeat steps 1 through 6 for the
right door.
8Set the doors aside for later use.

NOTE
The remainder of the building assembly
requires 4 to 8 hours and more than on6
person. Do not continue beyond this
point if you do not have enough time to
complete the assembly today. A partially
assembled building can be severely
damaged by light winds.
The top frame pieces give rigidity to
the side walls and provide a surface
for attaching the gables which sup-
port the roof.
1 Position right & left corner posts
at the corners of the floQr frame as
shown. The angled end of each
post must be placed on top for all
four corners. Fasten the corner post
to the floor frame with two screws.
Support the corner posts with stakes
until door jambs,are attached.
2Fasten the door track assembly
behind the top of the front corner
posts using screws. See the figure.

bolts and nuts. Fasten remaining

Reducing Large Gable Bulge
Loosen eight bolts and nuts shown.
Apply pressure with one hand atthe
peak of the gable and tighten bolt
#1. Keeping pressure on the gable
work down the slope tightening each
bolt. Excess material will overlap
smaller gable at seam. Once mate-
rial bulge is worked out tighten four
vertical bolts that connect the large
and small gables.
