I. Tbe f°ll°wing trusses were designed/reviewed by MiTek Industries INC. based upon information pruvided by the specilied truss fabricator. All information on the truss drawings should be reviewed by the overall building designer/engineer to insure that proper building codes and project requirements have been complied with before fabrication. 2. Design is based substantially on PCT-80 and NbS standards in effect at the date of the drawing. 3. Erection, Handling, Safety Precautions, Temporary or permanent Bracing of trusses are not the responsibility of the Truss Designer, Metal Connector Plate Manufacturer or the Truss Manufacturer and therefore are not a part of these engineering drawings. Trusses are designed as individual components. Ail lateral bracing specified on these truss drawings is intended to provide lateral restraint for individual truss members only. The design, amount and proper installation of additional permanent bracing is the sole responsibility of the designer ufthe complete structure. Adequate Tempormy Bracing is the sole responsibility o~the truss erector. Competent professional advice should always be obtaine~d relative to truss bracing, erection requirements, and connecrious. See HIB-gL 4. The top chord shall be laterally supported with properly attached sheathing, unless noted othenvise. 5. Continuous cross (lxYs) or horizontal (2x6 strongbacks on edge) bridging is required at 8'-0" to 10'-0" m~ximum intervals. See HIB-91 for proper nailing. 6 ~ Denotes continuous lateral bracing designed by others. ?. Provisions for adequate drainage should be met on all trusses with any top chord slopes less than a 1/12. 8. Plates are 20-ga. applied on both faces, centered and oriented so that the second plate dimensiou is parallel to the truss chord, unless noted otbenvise. ~ The drilling of holes, notching, cutting or removing any cross sectional area of any truss member, tmlcss noted otherwise, ,,viii VOID this drawing. 0. Floor trusses are designed to support tile listed uniform loads only. Floor trusses are not designed to support concentrated loads from tile roof or any other tributary system unless noted. I. Truss to bcaring connection to be designed by others. 2..Trusses should be inspected prior to and after erection to ensure their structural integrity. Trusses should be inspected for plate embedment, damage to the lumber (cracks, breaks, crushing, etc,) bow, variation from plumb,etc.. For a full list of guidelines see HIB - 91 and QST -86. 3.
