1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines,'

3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Sworn statement from plumber certifying that the solder used in system contains
less than 2/-10 of 1% lead.
5. Commercial building, industrial building, multiple residences and similar buildings

Re:
New heating system for 1 family house constructed 75 years
ago, previously heated with wood stoves.
Dear Delaine:
This letter is a request for a determination by your department. The
project in question involves the addition of an oil fired heating
system to an existing small residence. There is no other
construction work involved. I believe my project is not included in
the scope of the Energy Conservation Code for the following
reasons:
Section 7810.6 Scope, states in part:

Substantial renovations of existing Buildings."
This project clearly., does not '- .conform .~ to .any of. the~,conditions
mentioned above in the Scope section of the (:;ode. Additionally this
project is not a Substantial Renovation of an Existing Building.
Substantial Renovation is defined as:
Whenever more than 50 percent of any building system ... is
replaced ,,, that system shall be made to conforms..
The new heating equipment will conform to the requirements of the
code. All other Building Systems will not be remodeled or replaced
and therefore can remain. This point is affirmed again when the
Code states:
...... Systems' or, portions of ' systems .not, replaced by ,the
:'.-- :,renovation;,are~,not required to conform,except, as noted
...below. (Section 3, i & ii).
