KRLIS FAYE COURT, MATTITUCK, NEW YORK TAX MAP #1000-123-5-13 & 28 Gentlemen: We have been retained by the Owners to recommend the methods necessary to have their residence comply with the NYS Energy Conservation and Construction Code. The residence is presently being renovated to include a new kitchen and a new bath and also a new oil fired heating system. We make the following recommendations: I. All existing windows are to have storm sash for both floors. 2. Provide a storm door for the door to the porch. 3. Install unfaced fiberglass batt insulation over the crawl/cellar, R-19. 4. Insulate all existing exterior walls of the first floor and the gable walls of the second floor with Fiberglass Blowing Insulation at the rate of a minimum pounds per square feet of .46 for a R value of 14. 5. Insulate ceiling of the first floor under the unheated attic (from the knee wall to the eaves) with the same fiberglass blowing insulation at a value of R-14. 6. Two (2) new windows are to be installed which are to be Anderson low E insulated glass. 7. Insulate the knee walls with 3-1/2" thick fiberglass batt insulation for a R value of 11. DONALD A.
