Spahidalds & Kormas, RE: Freshwater Wetland Boundary Delineation Tax Map 1000-34-1-1 Location: 375 Madison Street, Southold As per your request, the freshwater wetland boundary was recently delineated on the property southeast of the above-referenced property. It was marked with orange "WETLAND BOUNDARY" plastic flagging tape. The Freshwater Wetlands Act, Article 24 of the Environmental Conservation Law, regulates most development activities within 100 feet of this boundary. Should you apply for a permit your site plan must depict the flagged wetland boundary as located by a licensed surveyor. I strongly recommend that you promptly hire a surveyor to plot these flags. The boundary should be denoted on the survey or site plan as follows: NYS DEC Freshwater Wetland Boundary as delineated by S. Lorence & D. Harrington on 8/25/94 In order to initiate the formal permit application process, you will need to contact the Division of Regulatory Affairs here at Stony Brook (516) 444=0360. Before you file an application, however, we strongly recommend that you meet with us to discuss your plans. Our, experience has shown us that such "preapplication conferences" save all involved parties both time and money.
