Dear Mr. Thorp: As per your request, based on my inspection of the existing conditions at the above referenced propel[y, I have done an energy code and insulation requirement analysis. The house is currently insulated to R=19 in the floor and ceilng/roof and has no insulation in the walls. In order to meet the requirements of the New York State Energy Conservation Code, Section 7815 Part 6, I would recommend bJown~in insulation in the walls to an R value of 14, and an additional 3 inches (R=11) in the attic for a total of R=30 in the ceiling/roof.
