Crisp Fishers Island (Tax map #1000-009-3-10 . 1) Attention: Tom Fisher Attached is a building permit application for an addition to the house of Emily and Peter Crisp at Fishers Island. The proposed work is to enclose the open area between two existing second floor parts of the house and add two studies on the third floor. There will be no change to the footprint of the house, and the new addition will not increase the existing height of the house . The new studies are for occasional daytime use only and will not be habitable living space. (Ceiling height will be 7 ' -3 " . ) Both studies will be open to the stair well . We ' re assuming that because all the proposed work is within the existing footprint of the house, the D.E. C. and Town Trustees don' t have to be involved. Is that correct? A contractor has not yet been selected. We are applying for the building permit ourselves to get the process started and, we hope, save time so that construction can begin as soon as possible this Fall .
