I knew it was a Landmark, but did not know it was within the Historic District 3. Are you familiar with Chapter 170 of the Southold Town Code which applies to this application? Yes, I have read chapter 170 of the Southold Town Code. 4. How is the design of your project sympathetic to the surrounding neighborhood? The balcony, expanded deck, and exterior staircase are sensitive to the surrounding neighborhood in that they are in the rear of the house and have no effect on the appearance of the house from the street and minimally visible from the immediate neighbors'vantage points. 5. How do your plans and elevation show adherence to the historic district mandates in Chapter 170? Our plans adhere to the historic district mandates in chapter 170 in that they fall under the adaptive reuse of the property. The historic features of the house remain intact preserving its historic character. The balcony, stairs, and deck (which will match the existing lower deck)will allow the master suite to have direct access to the pool area as well as enhance the view of the master suite. The plans fall within the zoning laws and building codes. 6. Have you supplied images of neighboring residences? Yes, I have provided images of neighboring residences. 7. How does the renovation illustrate compatibility in terms of scale and massing with the neighboring structures? This project does not change the scale of the house in any significant way. 8. What is the square footage of the original building? The house square footage is 2,921sgft. 9. What is the square footage of the renovated building? Square footage will remain the same 10.What is the height of the original building?
