He suggested we send you a photo, or some other proof that the rear deck attached to our home was built during construction of the house-in 1966-67 . We are therefore enclosing a photograph of Mr. Weisbrod, Sr. , standing on the deck at 435 Soundview Road, just after the completion of building. You will note, there is no landscaping around the house, nor other homes in sight. I am sorry that there is no-date on the reverse of this photograph, but we attest that this was taken sometime in 1967. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter, and hope this will serve to show that the deck was part of the original house construction. BP #24490Z Dear Mr. Boufis: As per our conversations, this letter is to address your question regarding the new foundation at the above referenced property. Although the original plans call for a poured concrete foundation under the addition on the south side of the house, the contractor, with my prior agreement, provided an 8 inch thick concrete block foundation wall (on a continuous poured concrete footing). BP#2449OZ Dear Mr. Verity: This letter is to address some questions in your inspections of the above referenced property. 1. Floor joists under the foyer in the new crawl-space have been down-sized due to obstructions in the crawl-space. These joists are, in my opinion, still structurally sound, and well over the minimum size required for that load over the span in question. 2. The number of exposed collar ties in the living room has been reduced at my direction from seven to six, changing the spacing from 32" o.c. to 44" o.c. This alteration still provides ample support and strength. 3. The triple 2" x 10" header in the first floor bedroom was eliminated at my direction, as it was unnecessary based on field conditions of the existing framing.
