INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector, with 3
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this appli-
cation.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the, Building Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.

Re: Appeal of Estate of Lillian J. Mulligan
210 Third Street, Laurel, NY (SCTM #1000-126-7-11 )
Dear John:
I have enclosed a copy of your Notice of Disapproval for the
"as-built" deck at the above-referenced premises. Last night,
the Board of Appeals held its public hearing regarding my
application for an area variance to allow the deck to remain
despite the slight violation of the lot coverage.
In your Notice of Disapproval, you calculated the total lot
coverage at 1,635 sq. ft. , or approximatly 21 .75%. This was done
without the benefit of a survey . Since that time, we have
obtained a new survey , a copy of which is enclosed herewith.
Based on this survey , the Board of Appeals has calculated the
total lot coverage at 1735.94 sq. ft. , or api.roximately 23. 14%.
The Board of Appeals has asked me to obtain a letter from
you recalculating the lot coverage based on this survey , so that
there is no disagreement as to the amount of existing lot
coverage. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation in this
matter, so that the Board of Alpeals can render a decision
herein.
