Landward of a substantial man-made structure greater than 100 ' in length which was construc ed prior to 9/20/77 . I Landward of the 10 ' above mean sea level elevation contour on a gradual, natural slope. Landward of the topographic crest of a bluff, cliff or dune which is greater than 10 ' in elevation above mean sea level . Therefore, no permit is required under the Tidal Wetlands Act (Article 25 of the Environmental Conservation Law) . Please be advised, however , that no construction, sedimentation or disturbance of any kind may take place seaward of the 10 ' contour or topographic crest without a permit . It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent any sedimentation or other alteration or disturbance to the ground surface or vegetation in this area as a result of your project . Such precautions may include providing adequate work area between the 10 ' contour or topographic crest and the project ( i .e. a 15 ' to 20 ' wide construction area) or erection of a temporary fence, barrier , or hay bale berm. The propose of the inspection was to determine if the changes to the structural member sizes and/or types utilized on the project meet or exceed that specified on the approved plans by Linda Kennett Design Associates of Putney, Vermont. The basic framing member changes on the project consist of. Floor Joists: • As-built: 11-7/8"WIF 43 engineered floor joists spaced at 16"o/c.by Georgia Pacific • Specified: 2"x12" Douglas Fir dimensional lumber spaced at 16"o/c. Girders&Headers: • As-built: Built-up 1-3/4"xl 1-7/8"2.0 GP LAM by Georgia Pacific • Specified: Built-up 2"xl2" Douglas Fir dimensional lumber It is my professional opinion that the as-built frame construction meets or exceeds that specified by the permitted plans referenced above. I believe the as-built construction of the framework is in conformance with the general intent of the New York State Building Construction Code.
