The board ~ade the followihg findings and determination: By this..app~'A1, appellant seeks permission to construct a 12-foot addition at the westerly side.of'the existing one-family dwelling with attached garage, thereby increasing the garage area for storage for two cars. The addition as proposed would leave a setback at its nearest point from the westerly side property line of 2.9 feet. The dwelling as exists is located 41o9 feet from Grange Road and 18o6 feet from the easterly side property lineo Also existing is a blacktop driveway in front of the garage area. It is the opinion of this'board :that appli- cant's reasoning in extending the existing garage area is most feasible for the purposes it is intended under the circumstances° In considering this appeal, the board determines ~ha%.the variance request is'not substantial; that the circumstances hereiH ar~'unique and practical difficulties have been shown; that by allowing the variance no substantial detriment to adjoining properties would be created; that the difficulty cannot be obviated by a method feast, hie to spp~!lant other than a variance; that no adverse effects will be produced on available governmental facilities of any increased population; that the relief requested will be in harmony with and promote the general purposes of zoning; and that t~he interests of justice will be served by allowing the variance as indicated below.
