However, any activity within 75' of the Wetland line requires a permit from this office. This determination is not a determination from any other agency. December 18, '1998 Jamie Richter Building Department Southold Town Hall Southold, NY 11971 S A M U E L S & S T E E L M A N 't Re: MANNING ACCESSORY BUILDING SCTM: 1000-117-10-10 Dear Mr. Richter, Enclosed you will find a survey showing the location of the existing sanitary system, which was installed in 1968 at the time of the construction of the house. At that time it met the regulatory standards of the Suffolk County Health Department. The system consists of a sealed septic tank and two leaching pools. It has never caused a problem for the Mannings, who have occupied the house since its construction. We certify that it can accept the additional capacity imposed on it by the proposed new bathroom to be located in the accessory structure. Please also be advised that the system will function by gravity. The site slopes significantly toward the water: a full story from the grade in front of the existing garage. Although the proposed sewer line is lengthy, it will slope at a consistent pitch toward the existing septic tank. Enclosed you will also find three new sets of building plans, showing the shower removed from the second floor bathroom. The drawing also shows additional structural information which has been determined since the time of the original application.
