Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing this letter concerning the Building Permit tl~at was filed on
behalf of my Mother's homebuilder, Mr. John Zoumas. This building
permit was filed in December 1998 for a single-family house to be built on
Rocky Point Road, in East Marion.
My mother, Doris Fiore (Purinton), was born in East Marion in 1935 just a
few yards to the North where her new home will be built. She is a lifelong
resident of East Marion and is looking forward to moving into her new
home. My parents were renting a home in East Marion up until December
1996 when my father passed away. Soon after the home that they rented
was put on the market and it sold. My mother was devastated. She was very
depressed over her situation and decided to build a home rather than finding
another rental.
I understand your office is inundated with building permits. I'm sure your
staff is very dedicated and are doing their very best to issue the necessary
permits in a timely manner.
I believe this correspondence will shed a personal light on the building
permit request. Its not just another "out of town" request on your desk, it is
that of a native resident of the North Fork who only desires to build herself a
home where her grandchildren can visit.
