The lot is improved with a single-family, one-story frame dwelling built about 1971. REASONS FOR BOARD ACTION~ DESCRIBED BELOW; On the basis of testimony presented and personal inspection, the Board makes the following findings: 1) Applicants' lot is less than one-quarter acre in size. Consequently, applicants need a variance to make any additions at all. The Board has considered alternatives to the relief originally sought, including the alternative presented by applicants, and has determined to deny the application as originally submitted and as revised, and to grant alternative relief as set forth below. 4) There are no factors present to suggest that grant of the relief set forth below will have an adverse effect or impact on the physical or environmental conditions. 5) The grant of the relief set forth below is the minimum necessary and adequate to enable applicants to make desired improvements in their property while preserving and protecting the character of the neighborhood, and the health, safety, and welfare of the community.
