I applaud the suggested changes as a vast improvement to the existing placard system. I would, however, like to offer the following. The new change indicates "affixing the permit to the inside of the rear passenger window for beach permit, and rear driver window for the disposal permit." I do not think it is realized that most cars/trucks/SUVs now have manufacturer tinted rear windows, and others, owner installed very dark window tint. Tinted windows would render the permit almost impossible to see or read. I would also suggest that there are two principals I believe who would have valuable input and should be contacted. Chief Martin Flatley, SHPD could provide information regarding Traffic Control Officer experience and Ms. Janet Douglass, Recreation Department who can provide information regarding Beach Attendant experiences regarding past and future beach permit concepts.
