I recommend the following to done to limit any trapped water to effect the viability of the footing: 1. Back fill with impervious soil on the outside of the foundation wall. (Prior to backfilling, remove any standing water from inside the excavation. 2. The grading on the outside of the foundation shall have a positive pitch away from the structure to at lease 3 feet from the wall. 3. Protect the inside of the foundation so as not to trap water inside the walls from rainfall prior to the placement of the concrete slab.
