The following headers, as constructed are substantial enough to resist the required live and dead loads with a deflection limit of L✓360. The flush header in the second floor over the Nook area was called out as (4) 1-3/4" x q-1/4" micro-lams but constructed as (3) 1-3/4" xq-1/4" micro-lams 15 acceptable. The header in the cellar under the Nook was called out as (3) 1-3/4"x11-1/4" micro-lams but constructed as (2) 1-3/4" x 11-7/8" micro-lams is acceptable. The hip rafter was called out as a micro-lam to limit deflection of the rafter during construction, but is not required as part of the structural capacity of the roof system with ceiling joist in place holding the roof together.
