The Katcher's reside at 3915 Stillwater Avenue, Cutchogue. Enclosed in the application packet is a copy of a recent hydrographic survey plus a copy of the Trustee mooring map for East Creek. You will also find enclosed documentation that the property at 3915 Stillwater Ave was in fact purchased by the Katchers from loannnis Zoumas in January, 2023.The Katchers are requesting mooring 10-8C which is highlighted in yellow. I have been informed by the Trustee office that this mooring is currently available, and that there is nobody on the waiting list. You will note that the MLW depth at their dock is about 1-1.5 Ft. The Katchers have been concerned for the environmental damage to the bottom as a result of prop wash around the dock. As such,they are requesting mooring permit#10-8C which will enable them to place the boat at the mooring when they will be using it around the periods of low tide in an effort to protect the environment. Chapter 275-11, Section C(2),©, {i} {a}states that"Upon a showing of special need due to low water level and hazard to property, the Trustees may permit both a mooring and a dock for the same residential property".
