Located: 310 The Strand, East Marion. SCTM# 1000-21-5-5 The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my recommendation that the proposed action is INCONSISTENT with the Policy Standards and therefore is INCONSISTENT with the LWRP. 1. Relocate the revetement to the toe of the bluff to protect public access. 2. The LWRP policies strive to reduce shoreline hardening. 3. The beach's geology will change due to this revetment. The loss of the beach over time may occur due to the reduction of sand supply from the eroding bluff, sand scouring from high energy wave events and sea level rise. 4. Vegetative buffers are most effective in stabilizing soil structure. 5. If the action is approved, no boulders naturally occurring on the beach should be used in construction. Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action. Cc: The Honorable Lori M.
