Additions and Alterations to a Single-Family Dwelling Our home is directly across the street from the Ventura home.Since the Ventura's purchased their home in Orient they have been restoring it in keeping with the, historic character of this village. Having reviewed the detailed plans for the proposed front porch addition,we strongly approve of these plans. It will be a beautiful addition to this home. Historically, many porches have been added years after the original home was built. I know this is the case with our historic home. These porches are an important element of the identity of American small towns. They give village streets a friendly character.' We hope Ventura's plans are approved.
