Telephone SO 5-~6(~0 MINUTES SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD OF APPEALS December 22, 1960 A meeting of the Southold Town Board of Appeals was held at the call of the Chairman at 11:45 A.M.~. Thursday, December 22, 1960 at the Town Clerk Office, Main Road~_ Southold, New York. There were present: Messrs. Robert W. Gillispie, Jr. s Chairman, Herbert Rosenberg, and Charles Grigonis, Jr. Absent: Messrs. Robert Bergen, and Serge Doyen, Jr. On motion of Mr. Grigonis, seconded by Mr. Rosenberg, and carrieds the Board of Appeals set 8200 P.M. (E.S.T.), Thursday, January 5~ 1961, as time and place for hearing upon application of Joseph Mitchell, Track Avenue,~ Cutchogue, New York~ for a special exception in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance,. Article !II, Section 306~ for permission to reduce front yard setback on a corner lot. Location of property: south side Track Avenue and west side Stillwater Avenue, Cutchogue, New York, Lots No. 95 and 96 on map of M. S. Hand. Vote of the Board: and Mr. Grigonis. Ayes:- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Rosenberg, Southold Town Board of Appeals December 22, 1960 It was further RESOLVED that legal notice of hearing be published in the official newspaper under date of December 29~ 1960. Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Mr. Gillispie, mr. Roseu_berg~ and Grigonis. mr. Olsen~ Greenport~ New York, salesman for McRae Broso~ Riverhead, appeared before the Board of Appeals for an informal discussion. Mr. Olsen wished to know the Board's interpretation relative to the requirements of a building permit for a patio roof. He stated that all the other Towns do not require a build- lng permit. His roofs are aluminum sections which are bolted or screwed on to a house. He then described the construction and manner of attaching to the house. The Chairman then advised Mr. Olsen that he would be required to secure a building permit to erect a roof of this type if, according to the Building Zone Ordinances.. it projects more than 5 ft. from the house. The minutes of the meeting of December 15, 1960~ on motion of Mr. Rosenberg, seconded by Mr. Grigonis, and carried~ were approved as submitted. Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Mr, Gillispie, Mr. Rosenberg, and Mr. Grigonis. The annual report of the Southold Town Board of Appeals was approved for submission to the Southold Town Board. Resolution was offered by Mr- RoseD_berg~ seconded by Mr. Grigonis, and carried~ WHEREAS the application of Nick and Helen Houlis, Appeal No. 296 dated July 21, 1960 is incomplete because of the in- ability of the applicant to secure permission from the land owner to erect a directional sign, NOW, therefore be it RESOLVED that permission is granted to withdraw the appli- cation without prejudice. Vote of the Board: and Mr. Grigonis. Ayes:- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Rosenberg, Southold Town Board of Appeals -3- December 22, 1960 The next meeting of the Southold Town Board of Appeals will be held 7:30 P.M~, Thursday~..
