It was for a deck addition to an existing single family dwelling. My wife and I were going to put a hot tub on this deck. However, after getting estimates for the electrical work, plumbing work, etc., we have decided not to proceed with this construction. I would appreciate some guidance as to how to proceed with the open permit. Can we cancel the permit? If yes, can we get some sort of refund of the fee paid? Can we use the permit for some other work (e.g., a shed or a fence) provided we submit new drawings? Thanks for your help. The permit and any amendment to itis specific to work done to the principle dwelling, and does not include accessory work .such as sheds and fences.
