DEDICATION AND RELEASE OF LAbIDS FOR TOWN HIGHWAYS
AND DRAINAGE AREAS
In the Matter of the Laying Out
of Certain Town Highways in the
To%~ of Southold, County of
Suffolk and State of New York
WHEREAS~ application has been duly made to the Town
Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Southold, in Suffolk
County, New York~ for the laying out of certain town highways
to extend from Middle Road near Greenport, New York~ a county
highway, through lands of Eastern Shores, Inc., northerly and
then easterly to land of Tyrer, all as shown on a certain map
attached hereto which is hereby made a part hereof, showing
the courses of said proposed highways.

NOW~ THEREFORE, Eastern Shores, Inc., a corporation
organized under and existing by virtue of the Business Corporation
Law of the State of New York~ having its principal office at
Middle Road, Greenport, New York, the owner of the lands to be
included within the said Town of Southold for highway and drainage
purposes the lands as described as follows:
ALL that certain plot~ piece or parcel of land situate,
lying and being near Greenport in the Town of Southold, County of
Suffolk, State of New York, known and designated as part of McCann
Lane and part of Sutton Place, all as shown on a certain mad en-
titled "Map of Eastern Shores At Greenport" filed in the office of
the Clerk of the County of Suffolk on April 27~ 1964 as Map $4021~
which said premises is more particularly bounded and described as
follows: BEGINNING at a monument on the northerly side of Middle
Road, said point being the southerly terminus of the westerly line
of McCann Lane as shown on said map;
Running thence along the said westerly line of
Lane N. 15 degrees 55 minutes 50 seconds W. a distance of 640.47
feet to a monument set at the southeasterly corner of Lot ~5 as
shown on said map;

Running thence across McCann Lane and along the northerly line
of Sutton Place North 74 degrees 04 minutes 10 seconds East a
distance of 475.23 feet to a point of deflection in the said
northerly line of Sutton Place;
Running thence still along the said northerly line of Sutton
Place being along the southerly line of Lot ~53, the southerly end
of Tasker Lane and the southerly line of Lot ~34, north 86 degrees
01 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 256.48 feet to land of
Tyrer;
Running thence South 25 degrees 28 minutes 10 seconds EAst
across Sutton Place a distance of 49.54 feet to a point on the
southerly line of Sutton Place which point marks division of land
of Eastern Shores, Inc. and land of Cottral, which said point is
9.68 feet easterly of a deflection in the said southerly line of
Sutton Place;
Running thence south 62 degrees 13 minutes 10 seconds W. a
distance of 9.68 feet along the said southerly line of Sutton Place
at the said deflection in the southerly line of Sutton Place;
Running thence S. 86 degrees 01 minutes 30 seconds W. a
distance of 260.54 feet along the southerly line of Sutton Place
to a point of deflection therein;
Running thence S~ 74 degrees 04 minutes 10 seconds Wo along
the southerly line of Sutton Place a distance of 420 feet to a
monument marking the intersecti on of the southerly line of Sutton
Place with the easterly line of McCann Lane;
Running thence S. 15 degrees 55 minutes 50 seconds E. along
the said easterly line of McCann Lane, a distance of 592.26 feet
to a monument on the northerly line of Middle Road;
Running thence westerly along the northerly line of Middle
Road 50.03 feet to the monument at the place of BEGIATNING.

State of New York, known and designated as "drainage area" all as

BEGINNING at a pOint at the southwesterly corner of the premises
described herein which said point is located N. 15 degrees 55 minute,s
50 seconds W. a distance of 205.06 feet along said easterly line of
McCann Lane from a monument marking the southerly terminus thereof
on the northerly line of Middle Road;
Running thence from said point of beginning along the said

the Town of Southold hereby applies to you %o lay out highways
to be known as MeCann Lane and Sutton Place in said Town as
described on a conveyance of said highways, a copy of which is
attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof.
The said proposed highways will pass through the lands
of Eastern ghores, Inc. which said corporation does hereby consent
to the laying out of said described highways.

UPON READING AND PILING the application of Eastern
Shores, Ine.~ a corporation organized under and existing by
virtue of the Business Corporation Law of the State of New
York, having its principal office at Middle Road, Greenport,
New York, by its president Joseph M. Schneider~ dated and
acknowledged December 18, 1964, and the dedication and release
of ~as%ern Shores, Inc., by its president, Joseph M. Schneider,
dated and scknowledged December 18, 196~ dedicating and
releasing lands for proposed town highways and drainage areas
to extend from Hiddle Road near Greenpor%, New York, a county
highway, through lands of Eastern Shores, inc., northerly and
then easterly to land of Tyrer, all as shown on a certain map
attached hereto which ia hereby made a part hereof, showing
the courses of said proposed highways~
RESOLVED that, in accordance with the provisions of
Section 171 of the Highway Law of the State of Hew York, consent
be and the same hereby is given that the Town Superintendent
of Highways of the Town of Southold make an order laying out
the aforesaid town highways and drainage areas, the said town
highways and drainage areas to consist of the lands described
in the said dedication and release and to extend as delineated
upon the map thereto annexed, and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is
directed to forthwith cause such release to be recorded in the
0ffic~ of the Clerk of the County of Suffolk and, upon its
return, to attach it hereto.

Dear Sir:
Enclosed herewith are the original application of Eastern Shores, Inc. ~ the
order of the Highway Superintendent and the consent of the Town ]Board as
well as a map of the highways and drainage areas involved° The enclosures
should be filed in your office.
The dedication and release and deed have been sent to Mr. Edson to be
forwarded by him to the County Clerk for recording after which they will be
returned to you for filing. In due time you will also receive the title insurance
policy insuring title to these roads and drainage areas which also should be
filed in your office.
In order that we may have a record for our files, will you please acknowledge
receipt of the enclosed instruments by signing and returning to us the blue
copy of this letter enclosed for that purpose.

Area" is more particularly bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the southerly line of Sutton Place
at a point marking the division of lands of Cottral and "Drainage
Area" as shown on said map; running thence South 62 degrees 13
