New York. There were present: Messrs.. Robert W. Gillispie~.. Jr., Chairman, Herbert Rosenberg,. and Charles Grigonis~ Jr. iis.o present: lv~. Howard M- Terry~ Building Inspector. Absent: Messrs. Robert Bergen and Serge Doyen~ Jr. The minutes of the meeting of June 2, 1960, on motion of Mr. Grigonis~ seconded by Mr. Rosenberg, and carried, were approved as submitted. Vote of the Board: Ayes:- Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Rosenberg~ and' Mr. Grigonis. On motion of Mr. Gillispie,_ seconded by Mr. Rosenberg, and carried it was RESOLVED that the Board of Appeals set 7:30 P.M. ~. Thursday~.. June 23, 1960, Town Clerk Office~ Main Road, Southold, Southold Town Board of Appeals -2- June 13, 1960 New York was set as time and place for hearing upon application of Ployd F. King~.~ Jr. ~. Main Street, Orient, New York,.. for a special exception in. accordance with the Zoning Ordinance~ Article III~ Section 300, Subsection 11~_ for permission to erect and maintain a directional sign on property of the appli- cant#, at north side Route 25~ Greenport~ New York. Property bounded north by other land of the applicant, east by Bingle,. south by Route 25, and west by D,D. Ripley. Vote of the Board~ and ~r. Grigonis. Southold~ New York. Permission /s also requested to erect and maintain four (4) words on the face of the building in the four (4) corners bounding' the wall sign. Greenport~ New York, for a variance in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance, Article X,. Section 1000A, for permission to redivide property at corner of Second Street and Orchard Street~ New Suffolk# New York. Property bounded north by Orchard Street, east by Egnas Benick~ south by Joseph Cosentino~ and west by Second Street. Vote of the Board: and Ayes: Mr. ~illispie, Mr. RoseD_berg~ It was further RESOLVED that legal notice of hearing be published in the official newspaper under date of Thursday, June 16, 1960. Vote of the Board: and Mr. Grigonis. Ayes: - Mr. Gillispie, Mr. Rosenberg~.. The next meeting of the Southold Town Board of Appeals will be held 7:30 P.F~._ Thursday,~_ June 23, 1960 at the Town Clerk Office, Main Road~ $outhold~.. New York. A letter~ directed to Howard Terry,~ from Robert L. Hyatt acting for the Southold Fire Department was receivedbythe Board of Appeals. This letter requested permission for the posting of cardboard notices of events and two signs on the fence next to the firehouse, Southoi~d Town Board of Appeals -4- June 13~ 1960 On motion of Mr. Gillispie~ seconded by Mr. Rosenberg~.. and carried, it was RESOLVED that the Board of Appeals grant permission to Robert L. Hyatt, General Chairman~ Fund Raising Committee~ Southold Fire Department~. to place approximately 50 posters~ 11" by 14" on the Main Roads and in stores in the Southold Fire District on the 20th of June,~ 1960 to the i6th of 1960~._ a Period of approximately 27 days. In the letter request- ing permission from Mir. Hyatt~ it was agreed to remove these posters as soon as possible after July 16th~ It is believed this is in the public interest. It is specifically forbidden to place these posters on utility poles or on private property without permission. A letter advising of this resolution was forwarded to Hyatt.
