Mattituek Dear Mr. King: Pursuant to our recent conversation, please consider this letter a formal request that your office provide me with a letter indicating that Ingrid Malley may commence work on her stairway down the bluff as originally approved by Town Wetlands Permit No. 4919, since substantial work at the property in accordance with that permit was accomplished through installation o(the approved retaining wall. I understand that as would be required by any current permit, Ms. Malley must establish a IS-foot non-turf buffer adjacent to the crest of bluff as part of this work, consistent with what was recently required of the adjoining property owner to the west. As discussed, I can also furnish you with an updated project plan depicting the now existing retaining wall and essentially the same stairway in the same location as what was previously approved. Should you require any additional information before you can furnish me with such a letter or wish to discuss the matter further, please give me a call at your convenience, and I thank you for your cooperation in addressing this matter. NY 11952 Dear Mr. Triades: On May 28, 1998, the Sonthold Town Board approved my petition to construct a bulkhead wall along my beach property. Robert Herrmann, of EN-Consultants, Inc. informed me, that the Board had one concern that they wanted brought to your attention. When the bulkhead is constructed, Tom Samuels of Rambo Construction, Inc., advised that there would be no possible way to tie the new bulkhead into your gabion wall. This will result in an unprotected gap between our respective structures that would allow backfill material from both properties to pass through. In order to diminish this gap, as well as reduce the loss of fill, Mr. Samuels suggested placing a boulder in between the bulkheads. The Board members concurred with this suggestion and advised that you be contacted and made aware of this option before construction of my bulkhead commences. The boulder would need to be positioned on 3'our properts' and you would need to contact Mr. Samuels to ~rther discuss details and cost information.
