How could the town allow this to happen? It was apparent that work was being hidden behind tall Black plastic "walls "that surrounded the whole place. This site should be carefully inspected and anything done that is not in compliance with natural habitat and wetland preservation be corrected. Fines should be levied and no permits given until there is transparent inspection. Silver Sands is a lovely wetland location and needs to be treated carefully. Kimack;Verity, Mike; Nunemaker,Amanda;Jarski,John Subject:Silver Sands x.Trustees visit/thank you Dear Liz and Glenn, Thank you for taking the time to visit the property today. I wanted to send an email to recap our meeting and also to provide you with my contact information. I hope you were able to walk away from the visit feeling good about both our intentions and execution of the project so far. Protecting and promoting the wetlands ecology, alongside rejuvenating all of the existing buildings, is our primary goal. To briefly recap what we discussed and reviewed: • We reviewed the overall site plan /survey and toured the property, with a special focus on any areas that are within 100' of the freshwater and tidal wetlands • We have not expanded any of the existing building footprints, nor have we built (or planning to build) any additional/new structures on the property • We reviewed the various infrastructure services on the property along Silvermere Road, including new water taps, buried electrical services, and upgrades to the existing sewer system; I would like to confirm that we have worked in lock step with both the Village and SCWA for all work related to the existing sewer, burying and upgrading the electrical service, and installing new domestic water lines after SCWA replaced the water main on Silvermere Road in August • 1 understood from our meeting that the siding and roofing work being performed on the existing structures is exempt from the Trustees administrative permit requirements; nonetheless, moving forward we will keep you and the broader Trustees proactively informed on any work that might come into question. We look forward to completing the remaining siding work before the winter weather comes in • While we do not anticipate needing to remove any trees—both inside and outside the 100'jurisdiction —we will seek Trustee approval for anything within the jurisdiction and keep you informed if any maintenance or removal is required in the future. . 1 • Looking forward, in tN e-cuming weeks we will submit a current'sfe plan outlining.both existing and proposed changes within the 100'jurisdiction, so we can secure any needed administrative permits; we will also outline any areas within the 100'jurisdiction that might have been disturbed and our plans to replanting and improving those areas. We hope that we can get on the Trustee calendar for January • We will also submit a new planting plan in the coming weeks for the entire property with a complete planting schedule; I am genuinely excited to share this with you and your colleagues as I think .everyone will appreciate how much care and investment we are making to the property. As mentioned, I am at the motel nearly every day and I am personally overseeing the careful rejuvenation of the property. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly should you have any questions or concerns. I am glad we had the opportunity to meet, and my only regret is that we did not make this meeting happen sooner. Very best, Alex ATTENTION: This email came from an external source.
