Describe the nature and extent of the environmental impacts reasonably anticipated resulting from implementation of the project as proposed. (Use attachments if necessary) The purpose of the project, as stated above, is to extend the existing retaining wall to the east in a westward direction across the subject property, in order to stabilize the bluff toe. The impact of this action is that the slope and crest of the subject bluff will become stabilized and thus protected against slumping due to erosional scour that would otherwise occur at the toe. To more effectively stabilize the bluff by preventing erosion of its face, the slope will be planted with Cape America Beach Grass (Ammophila breviligulata), similar to the properties to the east.
