Dear Mr. Haje~
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on April 27, 1995 regarding the
above matter:
WHEREAS, En-Consultants Inc., on behalf of JOSEPH ST. PIERRE
applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the
provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold,
application dated April 3, 1995 and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on April 27, 1995, at which time all
interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and axe
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submittedconcerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 37-18 of the Southotd Town Code, which will be listed on
a separate page, and, _
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of
JOSEPH ST. PIERRE to remove & replace (inkind/inplace) 92 1.f.
of existing timber bulkhead, backfill with 10 c.y. of spoil to
be taken from an area up to 10' off bulkhead and a max. depth
of 3' below /~LW. Two existing timber groins (west 8', east
12') will be refaced with new sheathing without alterations of
oVerall lengths, remove (without replacement) of existing
platform and stairs, install a 3' X 12' hinged ramp off an
existing walkway on top of westerly groin, and a 6' X 16' float
with ramp r~sting upon it and secured by slides and rings to
bulkhead, a 20' non-tUrf buffer landward of bulkhead, and no new
dredging other than spoil incidental to project. Located: 370
Goose Creek Lane, Southold.
Permit to construct project will expire two years from the date
it is signed. Fees must .be paid, if applicable, and permit
iSsued within six months of the date of this notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.
FEES: Ramp: 3' X 12' = 36' X $3 = $108.00
Float: 6' X 16' = 96' X $3 = $288.00

received a request for Department of the Army authorization for
the following activity=

ACTIVITY: Install a 3 foot by 12 foot hinged~ramp and a 6
foot by 16 foot float secured by slides and rings
to an existing bulkhead; under authority of the
nationwide general permit program, replace in-kind
and in-place approximately 93 linear feet of
existing timber bulkhead, reface two existing
timber groins, dredge 10 cubic yards of material
up to 10 feet seaward of the bulkhead to a depth
of 3 feet below mean low water to be used as
backfill and remove existing stairs and pilings.

LOCATION: Town Of Southold, Suffolk County, New York
As this is minor in nature, authorization may be by Letter
of Permission. This is in accordance with current Federal
Regulations governing work in navigable waters of the United
States. To accomplish the coordination required, prior to the
issuance of a Letter of Permission, your review of the enclosed
drawings is requested.
Pursuant to Section 307 (c) of the Coastal Zone Management
Act of 1972 as amended (16 U.S.C. 1465 (c)), the applicant has

the dredging therefore the Council recommends disapproval of that portion of

c.y. of spoil to be taken from an area up to !0' off
bulkhead and maximum depth 3' below MLW.
Two existing timber groins (west 8'; east 12') will be
refaced with new sheathing without alteration of overall
lengths. Remove (without replacement) existing platform
and stairs. Install a 3' X 12' hinged ramp off an
existing walkway on top of westerly groln. Ramp will
rest upon proposed 6' X 16' float secured by slides and
rings to bulkhead.
