Written application having been made to me, Town Superintendent of Highways, for
the Town o£ Southold, Suffolk County, New York~ by Ralph W. Sterling and wife· and limb!e
to be assessed for highway taxes in said Town; and the written consent of the To~n Board
· of said to~ having been executed as prescribed by law, smd releases from damages having
been executed by the ownsre of the land t~hrough which the propee~d highway is to be altered,
copies of which ~re hereto ~unexed~ snd nothing havin~ been paid to any claimant for such
demages, it is hereby

~t the southerly terminus of the 15th cot~rse on the easterly' line of B~v Avenue in Peconic,
as described in Commissioners~ report dated Jant~ry l~, 18~4 and recorded in Southold Tow~
records in Liber I at page 1095 said point being the southwesterly corner of a certain p~rcel
of land owned by P~lph W. S~erling; runnir~ thence alon~ the no~therly line of the 18th course
described in said record, N. 7~°4~0~ E.-100 feets thence westerly ~ud then northerly on a
curve to the left whioh begins tangent to said northerly line of said iSth course and whose
radius is 1~8.~7 feet, a distance on the arc of said curve of l?~ol7 feet ~o ~ point on the
easterly line of the lSth course of said record; thence along said eas=erly line of said 18th
course, S~ V°09~50n E.-IO0 feet to the point of b~ginning,
which proposed alteration will pass through the lands of Ralph Wo Sterling and wife~ only.

The undersigned, liable to be assessed for highway taxes in the Town of Southold,
hereby apply to you to alter Bay Avenue at Peconic, in the Town of Southold~ Suffolk County~
New York, as follows:-
BEGINNING at the southerly terminus of the 15th course on the easterly line of ~y
Avenue in Peconic, as described in Commissioners~ report dated January 16, 1894 and recorded
in Southold Town records in Liber I at page 159; said point being the southwesterly corner
of a certain parcel of land owned by Ralph W. Sterling; rurm.,ing thence along the northerly
line of the 16th course described in said record, N. 79°4E~50~ E.-lO0 feetS thence westerly
amd then northerly on a curve to the left which begins ~angent to said northerly ~ine of
said 16th course and whose radius is 138.37 feet, a distance on the arc of said curve of
173.17 feet wo a point on the easterly line of the 15th co'~u~se of said record; thence aior~
said easterly line of said 15th course, S. ?°59~50~: E.- 100 feet to the point of beginning,
which proposed ~l~eration will pass through the lands of Ralph 5. Sterling arm wife, only.

met at the office of the Supervisor, at Greenport~ in said Town on the ~ ~ ~

the alteration of Bay Avanue, at Peconic, Town of Southold~ Suffolk County, New York,
de hereby consent t~t such alteration be made in accordance with the prayer of the

which proposed alteration will pass through the ls~uds of Ralph W. Sterling and wife only,
do hereby dedloate and release to the Town of Southold~ all land heretofore owned by us and
included within the premises a~ove described, and do hereby release said Town from all
damages by reason of the alteration of said highway.
