Box 416 East Marion, NY 11939 Re: John Manning SCTM 9i17-10-11 Dear Mr. Geideman: The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees during its regular meeting held on May 22, 1996 regarding the above matter: WHEREAS, John Geideman on behalf of JOHN MA~FNING applied to the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the previsions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated March 25, 1996, and, WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and recommendations, and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on May 22, 1996, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and, WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area, and, WHEREAS, the Board has considered ail the testimony and documentation submitted concerning this application, and, WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in Chapter 37-18 of the Southold Town Code, WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the people of the town, NOW THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees grant a Wetland Permit to replace 1 existing 110' groin as per drawing 5/14/96, and, BE IT FURTB-ERRESOLVEDthat this determination should not be considered a determination made for any other Department or 'Agency which may also have an application pending for the same or similar project. The Counci~ normally does not recommend approval of groins however, it recommends approval for this project because it's an improvement over the current situation: 1. The high profile groins are being replaced by Iow profile groins. 2.
