Request for Additional Information
Dear Mr. Geideman:
Pursuant to 15 CFR 930.58, the following data and information is necessary to enable the
Department of State to adequately assess the coastal zone effects of this proposed project.
Please be adv/sed that the proposed project site is located witEin .the State-designated
Hashamomuck Pond Significant Fish and Wildlife Habitat, and respond carefully to the
following questions and requests:
1) Provide photos indicating the existing conditions specific to and mediately surrounding
the project site;
2) Identify the vegetation at the project site, eXisting both under the water and between the
lines of high and tow water;
3) Is there evidence of any erosion, and what vegetation exists, on the bank?;
4) Describe the characteristics, direction and distance from the project site, of in-water
structures located in the immediate project area;
4) Evaluate an alternative width of 4 feet for the fixed dock, as is common for the mooring
of small recreational boats. Why is 6 feet needed for width?;
5) What is the draft of the boat that you intend to moor?
Pursuant to t5 CFR 930.60(a), the review of your consistency certification will begin after
we receive and determine that the necessary data and information is adequate, to assess
