project for its consistency with the New York State Coastal Management Program if a
decision has not been issued within three months following commencement of our
consistency review.

RESOLVED that pursuant to Article 8 of the Environmental Conservation
Law, State Environmental Quality Review and 6NYCRR Part 617,
Section 617.10 and Chapter 44 of the Code of the Town of Southold,
notice is hereby given that the Southold Town Trustees, as Lead
Agency for the action described below, has determined that the
project will not have a significant effect on the environment.
Please take further notice that this declaration should not be
considered a determination made for any other department or agency
which may also have an application pending for the same or similar
project.
TYPE OF ACTION: Type II.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTION: Applicant requests permit to construct a 58'
retaining wall no more than 2' in front of existing retaining wall,
with a 30' return on the east property line. Approx. 40 c.y. of
clean backfill will be trucked in from an upland source. Located
Sigsbee Road, Mattituck.

REASONS SUPPORTING TEIS DETERMINATION:
1. An on site inspection has been conducted by the Board of
Trustees.
2. An environmental assessment, submitted by the applicant ~nd
reviewed and completed bythe Board of Trustees, has indicated that
no significant adverse effects to the environment are likely to occur
should the following mitigation measures be implemented.

Dear Trustees:
I would like to amend Mr. Taylor's application.
The main section of bulkhead will remain as is except for
minor repairs consisting of replacement of a few
sheathing boards in the same location and configuration.
A 12' extension of the bulkhead will be added to the east
end by cutting through a section of the existing concrete
retaining wall. A 30' return along the easterly property
line will then be constructed. Approximately !0 c.y. of
backfill will be necessary and will De trucked in from an
upland source.
I have modified the plan accordingly and request that.
this be considered at your August 26, 1993 meeting.
By copy of this letter and revised workplan, I am
requesting the New York State DEC to take similar action.

RESOLVED recommend to the Southold Town Trustees APPROVAL of
the Wetland Application of the NORTH FORK COUNTRY CLUB
109-~-7.1 to create new 16th teeing ground and fairway in wooded
area to the east of existing 15th green ,and 16th fairway according to
submitted plans. The Council recommends approval with the
understanding that the runoff be contained and native vegetative
buffer areas be maintained.

bathhouse approximately 12' x 40' located in between bulkheads.

replace (within 18") 103 I.f. of timber bulkhead. Wall to be
backfilled with 350 c.y. of clean backfill to be trucked in from
upland source and delivered over owner's property. Remove an
existing concrete stairway and replace with a 5' x 7' wood stairway.
Property damaged by winter storms. The Council recommends
approval and suggests the applicant may wish to tie in the adjacent
bulkheads to create a solid line.

in front of existing retaining wall. with a 30' return on the east
property line. Approximately 40 c.y. of clean backfill to be trucked
in in from upland source.
The Council recommends disapproval as submitted because there is
plenty of room behind the existing seaward bulkhead (not retaining
wall): the proposed plan would be 2' in front of adjacent western
bulkhead which would create an angle, which can create erosion
problems. The Council also questions the MHW. it does not appear to
be correct on the submitted plans.

The following recommendation were passed by the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council at its meeting held Thursday, August
19, 1993. Present at the meeting were Chairman John Holzapfel,
Bruce Loucka, John Hagerty, and Pat Isaksen.
Moved by John Holzapfel, seconded by Bruce Loucka it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Trustees APPROVAL
of the Wetland Application of CLEAVES POINT VILLAGE 38-7-4.2 F, 8
and 38.2-1-~5 existing dock modification. The CAC recommends
approval provided there is no increase in the number of slips.

which were placed under lot. {Application a result of violation
issued.
The Council recommends approval with the following suggestions:
materials be removed and replaced properly; applicant may wish to
realign, the present configuration does not provide the best
protection.
