The following recommendation was adopted a meeting of the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory-Council held Friday, January 17, 1997:

Moved by Robert Keith, seconded by Shannon Reidy, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL
of the Amendment to Permit request of STEPHEN PARZlALE 118-4-11 to amend
Emergency Permit issued 12/1992 by adding a retaining wall that was build by
previous owner.
Although a s'gnificant time has passed since the original permit had been
issued the CAC recommends approval of the amendment because the work had
already been completed by a previous owner.

i~ _ ,ard to the attached "Notice of Violation" please be advised that in December 1992 a permit # 118-
4-11 was issued on an emergency basis for the construction of a bulkhead at 8425 Nassau Point Road,
Cutchogue, New York Dist: 1000 Section: 118, Block: 4 Lot: 11. The permit was issued to the Estate of
Joan CacciOla.
Subsequent to the construction of the bulkhead a second tier retainer wall along with grass plantings was
constructed on the property with the intent of stabilizing the bluff. A copy of a recent (10/11/95) survey is
attached. All of this work was done prior to us taking ownership to the property on May 15, 1996 (see
attached "Statement of Closing Title).
To our knowledge the construction of the bulkhead meets all board of trustee requirements including a
minimum 20 foot non turf area landward of the bulkhead, backfilled with sand. The construction also
complies with regulations of all other agencies that may have jurisdiction including NYSDEC and the
Suffolk County Board of Health.
We are requesting that the Southold Town Board of Trustees amend the existing permit for the following:
~ Transfer thepermit to the names of Stephen Parziale, Michael Parziale, Gloria Parziale.
