The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its Regular Meeting held on September 23, 1998, regarding
the above matter:
WHEREAS, LORRAINE WENDT, applied to the Southold Town Trustees
for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of
the Town of Southold, application dated August 26, 1998 and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on September 23, 1998, at which time
all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 97-18 of the Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approves the application of
LORRAINE WENDT to relocate basement storm door fromwestern side
of house to southern side, remove existing porch and replace
with a 12' X 20' enclosed room, a raised 12' X 28' deck to same
height as enclosed room, a roof over an 8' X 5' porch and
replace steps in front of house with new steps, place haybales
along wetland side and drywells to contain roof runoff, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be
considered a determination made for any other Department or
Agency which may also have an application pending for the same
or similar project.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years
from the date it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable,
and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.

September 21, 1998 the following recomemndation was made:

Moved by Bret Hedges, seconded by Melvyn Morris, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees APPROVAL
of the Waiver Request of LORRAINE WENDT 115-12-1B to retocate basement
storm door from western side of house to southern side; remove existing 7'9" x
114'2" perch and replace wlth 17' x 20' enclosed room, same height as porch, no
basement; a raised 12' x 28' wooden deck same height as new enclosed room;
replace steps in front of house with new steps; and install a roof over an 8" x
5' porch.
